iomoi has a personal story attached to its creation: Separated
by half a world and several time zones, partners Irene Chen and
Matthew Grenby stayed in touch via email. Longing for a more
personal touch, Matthew crafted the first "iomoi", a handwritten
note that could be sent via email (featuring Irene's favorite
flower the pink peony). Seeing this creation as a marriage of
technology, old-fashioned craftsmanship and service,
the two combined their talents and a company was born.
As a director of product development at Donna Karan for six years,
Irene knew the market well, while Matthew - an entrepreneur grounded in
strategic startup consulting & engineering focused on the tactical challenges
of starting a business from scratch. Together, the couple identified an opportunity,
rolled up their sleeves, and designed their first collection of online
social stationery.

iomoi provides its members with the means to craft elegant, personalized
online communications. Like email, iomoi online social stationery is
convenient and timely. Unlike email, iomoi social stationery allows
authors to align the design of their messages with their personal
sense of style. Messages are composed using the iomoi website and
received by any email program. In crafting their letters, iomoi
subscribers choose from a selection of chic designs which are updated
throughout the season. Messages can be even set in one of a selection
of handwriting typefaces, making for a more intimate communication.
Together with an innovative & talented team, Irene and Matt continue
their work building the iomoi brand: timeless classics with a modern
twist.
